Houndstooth & Glen Plaids October 7

The dapper look of traditional menswear patterns has taken women’s ready-to-wear fashions by storm this fall. Bold black and white houndstooth checks are being spotted on the young and fashionable this season, and the classic Glen plaid is a close runner up. Stores in Paris and Milan featured both patterns prominently in many merchandise classifications. Ferragamo and Yves Saint Laurent are the designers who endorsed this modern look of tradition and carried it over into their accessories as well. Shoemaker extraordinaire Christian Louboutin also liked the graphic houndstooth look, but he used a smaller scale in his flats and eponymous high heels.
