Belts have been somewhat under the fashion radar lately, and we believe wrongfully so. Based on recent designer collections promoting a heavy dose of a near retro past this should change soon. Already designer boutiques in the U.S. and in Europe showed nostalgic full skirts and tight tops with cinched in waists featuring prominently wide contoured belts. Sweater tunics and knit cardigans were also belted. Classic skinny belts were often used to add an element of texture or colour to a demure neutral look. And incoming – and most definitely in need of belts – are paper bag waists on skirts and trousers alike. READ MORE +
